Yleana Legacy Campaign:
X Marks the Spot
In honor of our 10 year anniversary, Yleana’s Board has generously offered a matching campaign where all gifts will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $100,000. This is your chance to support a student on their journey to social mobility.
Our 10 Year Journey
Is created, based on Socratic Summer Academy, a camp that’s been running since 2010
First cohort of kids, one session, at Bentley University
Serves kids from NYC and Boston/North Shore MA
Every student receives a tablet to go with the in-house SAT AI-styled app we built
Yleana lengthens to two sessions
Adds Philadelphia and Baltimore to list of areas served
Runs programming at Colgate and Siena (Colgate has been our home since 2010 for SSA, and Yleana has started doing our first session there)
Increases to serve 80 students/summer!
Solidifies our average score increase as 320 points (out of 2400, the old SAT total of points)
Runs programming at Colgate and Syracuse University
Begins adding functionality to our Yleana portal, which houses all our tests, grades our tests, allows students to apply, us to SMS students, and many other things!
At camp, we have a program director who solidifies and builds upon Yleana’s summer camp-feel programming and leaves a legacy for program directors in the future
Has its first year with a mental health and wellness director
Runs programming at Colgate University and Endicott College
Yleana adds its first Curriculum Residency with a number of partners in Baltimore, which allows it to iterate on curriculum during the year.
We also add 2 more board members (besides the 3 founders)

Yleana acquires SSA, the camp on which it’s based
Found a second home and spent our first year at Mount Holyoke College, which built a fire pit just for us!
