Yleana by the numbers
Impact means measurably improving economic outcomes for Black and brown students.
YLEANA BY THE NUMBERS
Since the SAT changed in 2016 (now out of 1600):
the single highest score gain we’ve seen is 710 points
130- to 180-point average score improvement over the course of the summer
Top 50% of students improved 140-360 points in 3 weeks at Yleana (119 hours of prep) - with outliers of 560 and 590
Why the 1000 threshold is important:
Colleges that meet 100% of financial need won’t accept students with an SAT score of under 1000. Therefore, the 1000 threshold becomes an important barrier for students from underserved communities: reaching 1000+ unlocks financial opportunity
40% of students met the 1000 threshold at the start of Yleana. 78% met the 1000 threshold afterwards
