Launch of Opportunities Database for Yleana Alums & Collaboration with Repair The World

We are SO excited to announce the launch of our opportunities database, a new resource for our alumni community! This database, which is accessible to all alums through our internal website, is a repository of hand-picked jobs, internships, scholarships, fellowships, and events. Wherever possible, these listings also include personal – Yleana! – connections so that alums have a specific contact to reach out to who is already on their team and can get them connected. We’re so thrilled to further expand our Yleana network of support through this database, helping our alums get connected to the right people/opportunities/pathways to get to the next steps in their academic, professional, and personal lives!

This was a massive undertaking that we couldn’t have done without the help of some amazing volunteers from Repair The World, an organization that provides Jewish youth with opportunities to take part in community service projects. We’ve worked with Repair The World before and feel so lucky that we were able to collaborate with them on another project! Last month, we welcomed two interns from Repair The World, and they have already done a lot of work to help us get the opportunities database up and running. They will continue to work with us over the next couple of months to grow this great new resource! We were also fortunate enough to participate in a volunteer event hosted by Repair the World at the end of March. A few volunteers spent a couple of hours gathering opportunities to add to our database, so we now have an even bigger pipeline of opportunities to share with our alums. The volunteer coordinator at Repair The World said:
“The volunteers really connected with your mission, enjoyed taking the time to research some new opportunities, and all said it was something they'd be interested in doing again!”
