JHU is proud to partner with Yleana, whose test preparation and academic reputation precedes them. In fall 2023, Yleana became a recipient of the highest ranking during an instructional design review conducted by Johns Hopkins’ Center for Research and Reform in Education.

Yleana’s successes

  • On the new Digital SAT, we are averaging a point-per-hour improvement of 6.34 points/hour

  • Top 50% of Yleana students increase their SAT scores between 140-360 points in 100 hours, with students commonly achieving increases over 400 points

  • Our historical highest single score improvement was 710 points

  • Students are admitted to colleges like Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Cornell University, Middlebury, Washington and Lee, Colgate University, Boston College, Boston University,  Mount Holyoke, Bard, Northeastern, American,  UCLA, USC, Smith, and many more!

  • 119 hours of instruction; 710 points

  • Lowest score: 740 total: 320 verbal, 420 math

  • Highest score: 1450 total: 730 verbal, 720 math

David

  • 42 hours of instruction; 240 points

  • Diagnostic 900 total: verbal 500, math 400

  • Actual test: 1140 total: verbal 580, math 560

  • In-person at Johns Hopkins from Friday, August 9th through Friday, August 16th

  • Includes 52 total hours of bespoke SAT preparation

  • 6-8 practice tests (dependent on student needs)

  • Following each test, students will receive personalized coaching and score analysis

  • Teaching will be led by Alyssa Atan Bowlby, a veteran SAT prep teacher and “Alyssa the College Expert” on YouTube
