Billie Pingree, Curriculum/Development/Administrative Officer
Billie has been working in education and college access for 6 years. She started out as a college advisor for low-income students before joining Teach For America to teach first grade in Memphis, TN. Billie cares deeply about justice and trauma-informed educational practices and knows that students can only achieve their potential if they feel seen and valued as their entire selves.
Billie has a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College, Columbia University in Sociology with a minor in Religion. In her free time, she loves to read, rock climb and debate the aesthetic value of country music (spoiler: she thinks it is very valuable).
