The Yleana Application Process

Our application is a small-scale version of the Common Application, so that even during their application to Yleana, they are preparing for college.

The questions we ask for our essay are similar to the kinds of questions the students will need for the Common Application. This means that once students have completed our application, besides having had an experience similar to that of the college application process, they will also emerge with an essay they can use in senior year.

All applications must be completed online at apply.yleana.org. The application opens March 1 of each year and is due April 1. In addition to basic personal information and the personal statement, applicants are asked to complete several short answer questions. They have the option to upload a resume.

Applications are not considered complete without a partner org recommendation. These are also completed online at apply.yleana.org.
